The Royal Institute of British Architects is the Chartered Body of Architects in England, promoting architecture and excellence within the profession. It champions architecture and a better environment.

It is active in the international, national, regional and local arenas. It has 11 regional offices organising training and development for architects, regional promotion and public participation events and co-ordinating the work of the branch Societies at the local level. WSCA is within the West Midlands Region and works with the support and funding of RIBA West Midlands Regional Office.
