Worcestershire Architecture Awards 2019 – Call for Entries

Following the success of the Worcestershire Architecture Awards last year, the Worcestershire Society of Chartered Architects are excited to announce the call for entries to the 2019 Awards.

The Worcestershire Architecture Awards recognise inspiring new architecture in the county and the work of Worcestershire architects. 2018 was the second year of the Awards which successfully engaged the community, promoting local architects with a public exhibition of entries at the Guildhall, Worcester, followed by a presentation of awards. Entries were subsequently exhibited at St Helen’s Church and in the Henry Sandon Hall.

Entries are invited from 1st June 2019 and will be accepted until 5pm on Friday 28th June 2019. Full details of how to enter along with an archive of last year’s entries can be found on the Worcestershire Society of Chartered Architects website www.ribaworcestershire.co.uk/awards.

A jury consisting of architects and non-architects will judge the entries. In addition to the six category awards, The People’s Choice Award will allow the public to vote for their favourite from a shortlist of eligible entries decided on by the editors of the Worcester News and associated Newsquest newspapers. Shortlisted entries will be displayed online and in Worcestershire based Newsquest papers.

Entries will be exhibited at the Guildhall, Worcester, from 10am to 4:00pm, Saturday 17th August 2019, during the Worcester Festival. Admission is free.
